Welcome to a new installment on the blog… Top Three Tuesday! To start off, here are my top three picks for undereye concealers.
This is my # 1 favorite concealer. I am an NC 35 in MAC, and I use an NW 25 for my undereye area. It covers my dark circles extremely well, and it lasts all day long on me (about 10-12 hours) without budging, creasing, or settling into my fine lines. It has a thin consistency, but it’s super pigmented, so a little goes a long way. It is definitely full coverage, but it doesn’t feel heavy or look cakey on the skin. It just leaves a smooth, natural finish that almost looks like I’m not wearing any makeup at all. Yes, it can be a bit tricky to control the amount of product you dispense thru the pump, but I can overlook that because this really does an amazing job. This is hands down the best concealer I’ve ever used, and I will repurchase again and again.
I use the “Medium” shade in this concealer. What I like about this is that it has anti-wrinkle properties, and it conceals my dark circles very effectively without settling into any of the fine lines underneath my eyes. I set it with powder, and it lasts all day (about 8-10 hours) without fading or creasing. The clear plastic screw-top jar does look a bit cheap, but that doesn’t bother me much because it’s a fantastic, full-coverage concealer. There’s a lot of product in the jar, and a little goes a long way, so this will last me a long time, but I will definitely repurchase once I run out.
I use the “Medium” shade in this concealer. The coverage is great, and it lasts all day (about 6-8 hours) with a good setting powder. It’s quite thick, but it’s fairly easy to apply and blend because it’s nice and creamy. Once blended out, it covers dark circles very well and gives the undereye area a bright luminous effect. True to its claim, I have not experienced any creasing with this product. This is what I bring with me on the go because MAC’s glass bottle and theBalm’s plastic jar seem a bit fragile, while Tarte’s squeeze tube is just perfect for travel.
