Today, we’re taking a look at MAKE Beauty Cast Iron Matte Finish Eyeshadow.
Cast Iron is a medium gray with slate blue undertones. It has a matte base with a hint of blue and silver micro-shimmer. The shimmer is visible in the pan (and in the swatch above), but it is barely noticeable on the lids.
As you can see, Cast Iron has good color payoff (swatched dry), and it can also be applied wet without damaging the eyeshadow.
It has a velvety smooth texture that blends easily. I just wish it would last longer. I have tested this with and without a primer to see how well it holds up. It starts to fade after only 2 hours without a primer (4 hours with primer). If you want it to last throughout the day, I recommend applying a dark cream eyeshadow underneath.
MAKE Beauty products are sold through MAKEBeauty.com and Barneys.com.
